Drone League
Macy’s Drone League is a group of 5th and 6th grade students which focuses on addressing core values of teamwork, discovery, innovation, impact, inclusion and fun! Teams will address an essential question, learn coding, and master flying drones. Students will earn their pilot’s license by learning and following Swift Playground’s drone coding language and programming their drone to successfully navigate an obstacle course. Students are expected to attend a competition in Orange Unified School District as a team representing Macy School.
Participants will need to have a teacher recommendation, meet minimum academic and behavior expectations, be able to attend classes after school weekly from 3-4 pm. Applications will go out in late September-early October.
